These terms govern your use of inflammaging.efremov.help (the “Site”), the book The Hidden Fire, and any email you receive after requesting it. The Site is operated by Mind Networks Association LLC. By using the Site you accept these terms.
This Site is educational. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
The Hidden Fire describes published research on chronic low-grade inflammation and its relationship to ageing, mood, and physical symptoms. It is written for a general audience and cannot account for your medical history, your diagnoses, or the medicines you take. Reading it does not create a doctor–patient relationship.
Andrei Efremov is a researcher and educator who graduated from medical school and completed a residency in psychiatry and psychotherapy, trained and practised internationally. He does not practise medicine in any U.S. state and is not your physician.
Do not self-treat from this book
Inflammation is a subject where confident self-management can cause real harm. In particular:
- Do not start, stop, or change any prescribed medication, dose, or treatment because of anything you read here. That decision belongs with the clinician who prescribed it.
- Do not use the book to diagnose yourself or to conclude that a symptom is or is not inflammatory. Inflammatory markers can rise for many reasons, including infection and serious disease that needs prompt care.
- Do not delay seeking medical attention because a symptom seems explained by something in the book.
- Supplements, fasting protocols, cold exposure, and dietary changes are not risk-free. They interact with medication and with conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, eating disorders, and pregnancy. Discuss them with a qualified clinician before you begin.
If you have severe, sudden, or worsening symptoms, seek urgent medical care. If you are in crisis or thinking of harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately — this Site is not a crisis service.
Research is provisional
The book cites peer-reviewed work and labels the strength of the evidence behind each claim. That labelling is a summary of the state of research at the time of writing, not a settled conclusion. Findings are revised, replications fail, and mechanisms that look decisive in a laboratory often behave differently in people. Nothing here should be read as a promise that a particular intervention will produce a particular result for you.
